The 34th INCITE Awards, Western Australia’s premier celebration of tech and innovation, delivered a powerhouse night of recognition on Saturday 18 July, with Ember Connect winning the Digital Inclusion Award as well as being a runner up for the Social Impact Award.
The Judges noted that “Ember Connect empowers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women through a purpose-built online platform that blends cultural knowledge with contemporary digital engagement. By fostering a safe, inclusive environment, Ember Connect has strengthened connection, leadership, and opportunity for more than 4,200 women to date. The platform bridges access to information, resources, and peer networks, helping women thrive both personally and professionally — a powerful example of how technology can support culturally safe spaces and drive lasting, meaningful change.
Ember Connect General Manager Narelle Henry said of the Award, “We’re so proud to be recognised with the Digital Inclusion award at this year’s INCITE Awards. The Award places Ember Connect as a finalist at the 2025 National iAwards Finalist in the Not-for-Profit & Community category with the national winners being announced at a gala event in Adelaide on the 28th August.
