$20,000 in Game Changer Grants to share
Supporting the next generation of First Nations women to grow, lead and create change
Applications for the July Round of Ember Connect’s 2026 Game Changer Grants open on Wednesday 1 July 2026, with $20,000 in grants available.
The July Round is for First Nations women aged 18-25, with grants of up to $1,000 available for 20 Ember Connect members.
Ember Connect’s GameChanger Grants support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to pursue opportunities that strengthen their educational, professional or leadership aspirations. Whether you’re attending a conference, undertaking training, studying, building your leadership skills or pursuing another opportunity that will help you achieve your goals, we want to hear about it.
What you need to know:
- Open to First Nations women
- Must be aged between 18 and 25 as of 1 July 2026
- Grants of up to $1,000 available
- Use the funding for any professional or personal enrichment activities
- At least 40% of all grant funding will go to regional and remote applicants

Applications are open to eligible young women living in metro, regional and remote communities across Australia. Women living in regional and remote areas are strongly encouraged to apply, with at least 40 per cent of all grant funding from the July round dedicated to supporting young women in rural areas.

Applicants must be a member of the Ember Connect community (membership is free), be aged 18 years or above, and be a woman of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
