At Ember Connect, our mission is to elevate and connect First Nations women to create lasting opportunities for personal, cultural, and professional growth. Together, we are building a stronger, more connected community, one that celebrates culture, supports careers, and fosters collective progress.
A growing network of elevated women
Our community continues to thrive, with membership growing by an incredible 56% during 2024. Today, we are proud to support a network of 4,901 women, including:
- 3,904 First Nations women
- 997 allies
As of the end of 2024, Ember Connect’s members are making an impact across Australia, with representation spanning every state and territory:
- 29% in New South Wales and the ACT
- 20% in Queensland
- 18% in Western Australia
- 10% in Victoria
- 4% in South Australia
- 3% in the Northern Territory
- 2% in Tasmania
- 14% of our members chose not to disclose their location.
This national reach underscores the strength and diversity of our growing community, uniting women and allies from coast to coast.

What our members are saying
We believe in listening to our members to ensure Ember Connect continues to deliver meaningful impact. In our September 2024 member survey, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive and inspiring:
- 70% of respondents said Ember Connect has already helped, or will help, build their networks.
- 70% credited Ember Connect with supporting their career development or expressed confidence that it will in the future.
- 68% shared that Ember Connect has helped them connect with culture or that it will help foster a deeper cultural connection.
- 95% of respondents would recommend Ember Connect to their networks, demonstrating the power of what we’re building together.
